It's a weird hunch but I actually like the Eagles to win and cover. I could be embarrassed come tomorrow but this feels like a trap game in Green Bay for the Packers that are playing really well.

Tonight is a Monday Night game that I will watch the highlights of tomorrow morning. If I miss an instant classic of a game I will live with it. Mitch Trubsiky and the Chicago Bears visit Case Keenum and the Washington professional football club. The Bears are favored by 4.5 and I like them to win and cover. The Bears haven't had the best start but this is the time in primetime to beat up on a struggling Washington team to try and propel their season into contention with the Packers and Vikings. Washington should be tanking for a good pick and building for the future around Dwayne Haskins.

Tonight is a classic Thursday Night Football matchup that seems to happen every year. This year it features Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans visiting Gardner Minshew and the Jacksonville Jaguars. These two teams are fascinating as they are both competing in the AFC South but I can't imagine both teams surviving after rocky starts. Jacksonville went for the win last week against the Texans and got stopped by a very small amount. The Titans came up just short against the Colts. In this game, I like the Jags to win and cover.

Tonight is week 2 of Thursday Night Football and this is not a game to be excited for unless you are a Carolina Panther or Tampa Bay Bucs fan. The Panthers are favored by 6.5 with the Bucs coming to town. Carolina is coming off a tough loss to the defending NFC champion LA Rams where they did not look that bad, but this team is going to live or die by Christian McCaffrey. Although he is one of the best all-purpose players in football he will not be able to carry this team by himself. He is going to need Cam Newton to play better and utilize his weapons in Greg Olsen, Curtis Samuel, DJ Moore, and even Chris Hogan. The Bucs did not look as good in week 1. The lost to the upstart 49ers and the real conflicting part of this team is Jameis Winston. He threw 3 interceptions including two pick-sixes, but he weirdly didn't look that bad. He has improved in his ability to escape pressure so he really just needs to work on decision making and ball security. The pieces around him in Mike Evan...

In the week 1 tradition continued we have two games for this Monday night and the first one looks like a doozy. It features the Houston Texans visiting the New Orleans Saints who are favored by 6.5. The analysis for this game is similar to all of week 1, only on paper. FOOTBALL IS BACK!! Opening night and I'm all ready to watch the two most classic football teams face off to begin the 100th season. Know I'm sure there should be a lot of analysis going into this game but all know about this team is the preseason which is irrelevant or every team having their beat writers talk about how amazing the team is and how everyone looks better. So my analysis is going to come completely from what I think these teams could be this year. The Bears are bringing back basically the same team that got double doinked by the Eagles. Another year for Trubisky under Matt Nagy will help him learn this offense and master it. The defense remains basically the same with a full year of Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, and Kyle Fuller as their main contributors. As for the Packers, they're bringing a new outlook for this season.
