Week 6 Picks

Last week I had one an okay at 10-5 straight up and 8-7 against the spread. I picked the Eagles on Thursday both against the spread and straight up in a fairly obvious pick in most eyes but now let's move on to Sunday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons -3.5
Must win for Atlanta at home and I still don't believe in them. I will take them to win but it will be a shootout and Tampa will keep it close.

Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans -7.5
This is a weird one down south. The Bills have actually stepped up in a few games and the Texans were gifted a win by the Colts and Cowboys. A team I hoped would be a contender for the super bowl have fallen flat on their face. I'm taking the Bills in another massive upset and the final nail in Bill O'Brien's coffin.

Chicago Bears at Miami Dolphins +2.5
Interesting matchup down in South Beach but I don't think the Dolphins can regain the magic from earlier in the year. This Bears team is too talented to lose this game but Trubisky is too tame to blow them out so the Bears will win but the Dolphins keep it close.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals -2.5
I don't know why I keep picking Pittsburgh but I'm going to do it again. This is a must-win spot here for the Steelers plus Marvin Lewis and Andy Dalton are bound to disappoint us soon.

Los Angeles Chargers at Cleveland Browns +0.5
Somehow the second best game of the week in Cleveland and this should be a defensive battle. Still no Joey Bosa for the Chargers but I will keep the faith in Los Angeles with the Chargers.

Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets -2.5
This game is going to be bad and I will not be watching. That being said I'm going with the Jets because they have a better defense and that is all I have to say about that.

Seattle Seahawks at Oakland Raiders +2.5
An intriguing matchup between a Seahawks team that looked good against the league-leading Rams and the Raiders with Marshawn Lynch on a revenge tour. I'm taking the Raiders because of this a letdown opportunity for the Seahawks and Lynch having a monster game. Take the home underdog to win.

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings -10.5
A big spread for the Vikings at home again. I'm not going to be fooled again by how good this defense was last year. I think Josh Rosen will come into Minnesota and make things happen like his fellow rookie Josh Allen. That being said the Vikings will win but the Cardinals will cover.

Carolina Panthers at Washington -1.5
A good matchup between two average teams. I like Chris Thompson and the Bama boys on defense for Washington but I think Cam Newton, Christian McCaffrey, and Curtis Samuel will lead the Panthers to victory.

Los Angeles Rams at Denver Broncos +6.5
This Rams team is really good all around. The Broncos are okay but their Quarterback is painfully average. I think the Rams will make a statement and dominate the Broncos start to finish but an annoying backdoor cover will happen in garbage time by the Broncos maybe even by Chad 'Swag' Kelly at QB.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Dallas Cowboys +2.5
Jalen Ramsey is questionable at the point I'm making the picks but that doesn't really matter I just hope they mic him up if he doesn't play so we can continuously hear the trash talk. The Cowboys don't have the offensive weapons to compete. Jags win and cover.

Baltimore Ravens at Tennesse Titans +2.5
I don't think either of these teams is good but it's still early enough that the Titans can be 9-7 and win their division. That being said I'm taking the Ravens to win on a last-second field goal meaning the Titans will cover at home.

Kansas City at New England Patriots -3.5
The matchup everyone has been waiting for. Patrick Mahomes vs Bill Belichick. The scheme vs the cannon. I love this game as a whole and I think the Chiefs will face some adversity. I'm picking them to cover but I think the Patriots' offense is too dynamic with Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman for the Chiefs to overcome. But once January comes I think this matchup might be seen again.

My record
Straight- 47-31-2
Spread- 42-38
