NBA Daily Picks- May 20th

Indiana at Washington -3.5

Tonight in the final play-in for the Eastern Conferences a matchup where the Indiana Pacers are visiting the Wizards in Washington playing for the eighth seed. The winner of this matchup gets a date with the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round. The Pacers beat the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday to advance with the chance to win their way into the playoffs. Domatas Sabonis who has been the Pacers best player all year stepped up in a winner-take-all game without Myles Turner, TJ Warren, and Caris LeVert. Sabonis scored 14 points adding 9 assists and an astonishing 21 Rebounds in the 144-117 blowout. Washington is coming off a tough 118-110 loss to the Boston Celtics in which Bradley Beal got outdueled by fellow St.Louis native Jayson Tatum. It's clear Beal is still nagged with the left hamstring injury that has been bothering him the last little bit. Russell Westbrook led the way with 20 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 combined steals and blocks (stocks). This game will have all the intensity of a game 7 in the playoffs and it's tough to decide which teams' others are going to show up for this one. It is fair to assume Sabonis and a combination of Beal and Westbrook will lead the way. Even with the turmoil happening in Indiana I'm going with the Pacers as 3.5 point underdogs to pull off the upset and claim the eighth seed in the East.
