Stanley Cup Semi-Finals Game 2 NY Islanders at Tampa Bay
NY Islanders at Tampa Bay -200
Tonight is Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Semi-Final between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Islanders lead 1-0 in the series after a 2-1 win on Sunday led by a 30 save performance from Semyon Varlamov. Although the final score was only 2-1 this game was full of chances and good end-to-end action as the Islanders had to play a Lightning style of game. It was only a few turnovers that made the difference as the Islanders led in that category 7-1. The Lightning is -200 favourites to get a split at home and I think they will do so. I know I've been all over the Islanders bandwagon these playoffs but the Lightning played their worst game of these playoffs and still only lost by one. This is the best-case scenario of this series that Tampa will have to chase New York for the right to play for Lord Stanley.
Record: 39-29
