NBA Finals Game 1- Miami vs LA Lakers

Tonight is game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and LA Lakers from the bubble in Orlando. The Heat was the 5 seed in the east when they swept the Indiana Pacers in a convincing fashion. After which they took out not only the number 1 team in the east but also the entire league in the Milwaukee Bucks and looked like the best team in the playoffs heading into the Eastern Conference Finals. In a very even series, they took down the Boston Celtics in 6 games becoming one of the lowest seeds to make the NBA Finals since the 1999 New York Knicks. The Lakers' path looks a little bumpy round to round but also gained momentum and form throughout each series. After losing the first game in the first round against the Portland Trail Blazers (causing the outrageous Charles Barkley claim) and Houston Rockets but went on to win the next four games in each series in convincing fashion. The Denver Nuggets were not the team the Lakers expected on paper for the Conference Finals. But this...

MNF Week 3- Kansas City at Baltimore

Tonight is quite possibly the most hyped Monday Night Football matchup since the thrilling Rams-Chiefs shootout from a couple years ago. The Kansas City Chiefs involved once again are visiting the Baltimore Ravens. This is a matchup we're going to see for years to come especially Lamar Jackson vs Patrick Mahomes. The last two MVPs are leading prolific offences into this week's matchup. The Ravens are 3.5 point favourites at home. I'm going with the Chiefs to win and cover as Mahomes has owned Lamar so far in their early careers. Record Straight: 31-15-1 Spread: 23-24

Stanley Cup Finals Game 6- Tampa Bay vs Dallas

Tonight is game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars. The Lightning is up 3-2 in the series after the Stars survived game 5 with a double-overtime winner from Corey Perry. The Stars now try to win this game 6 and almost complete a monumental comeback that we haven't seen in Stanley Cup history since 1942. The Bolts have officially ruled out captain Steven Stamkos for the remainder of the series unless there is a trophy presentation. The Lightning is -175 favourites as they have a chance to hoist the cup tonight. I'm going with Tampa to win and hoist the cup as they should've in the last game in overtime. Record: 66-61

NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 6- Boston vs Miami

NBA Western Conference Finals Game 5- Denver vs LA Lakers

Tonight is game 5 of the Western Conference finals between the Denver Nuggets and LA Lakers. The Lakers are up 3-1 in the series for the third time in these playoffs and the Nuggets are down 3-1 for the third time these playoffs. The Lakers will look to close the Nuggets as the Jazz and Clippers could not. The Lakers dominated game 4 and have looked to take a stranglehold in this series. Similar to the Boston Celtics last night the Nuggets season is on the line and will throw everything they have at the Lakers. It will once again come down to the play of secondary pieces on both teams. The Lakers know LeBron and Anthony Davis will show up but they need consistent play from any of Rajon Rondo, Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Alex Caruso, and one of the centres and it looks like it will be Dwight Howard. The Nuggets know Murray and Jokic will do everything they can but it will come down to a combination of Jerami Grant, Michael Porter Jr, Paul Millsap, Monte Morris, Ga...

Stanley Cup Finals Game 5- Dallas vs Tampa Bay

Tonight is game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning is up 3-1 in the series after a 5-4 overtime win last night. This will be the first opportunity to burst the bubble in these playoffs. The Lightning remains strong without Steven Stamkos with the great play of Victor Hedman and the top line of Palat-Point-Kucherov playing at the top of their game. The Bolts are -165 favourites as they look to claim their first Stanley Cup since 2004. I'm going with the Stars to extend this series mostly because I want one more game Monday Night. Record: 65-61

NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 5- Miami vs Boston

Tonight is game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. The Heat are up 3-1 in the series after a close but convincing game 4 win that was capped by Tyler Herro's 37 point performance the most from a rookie since Magic Johnson in 1980. The Heat look to be in control as they sit one win away from the NBA Finals. The Celtics are going to need a more consistent effort from Jayson Tatum who stepped up in the second half had 0 points in the first half. This Celtics team has won by a team effort with Tatum leading the charge while Jaylen Brown, Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart, and Gordon Hayward being key contributors especially at the end of the game when that is their lineup. Miami will look to Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic, and Bam Adebayo to lead the charge while Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and one of Jae Crowder, Andre Iguodala or Kelly Olynyk to fill minutes and give guys rest.  The Celtics are favoured by 3 for this game 5 and I'm going with the...

Stanley Cup Finals Game 4- Tampa Bay vs Dallas

Tonight is game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars. The Lightning is up 2-1 in the series after a 5-2 win in game 3. Steven Stamkos made his triumphant return for a few minutes in the first period scoring a goal and then not returning for the remainder of the game. Stamkos is unfit to play for game 4 and his availability is in question for the rest of the series. The Lightning is favoured at -160 and the Stars are looking for a big comeback. Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn have been silent for this series and the Stars need their secondary scoring to step up and replace the scoring left by the top line that also includes Alex Radulov. I'm taking the Stars to tie this series up and put the Lightning back on their heels. Record: 65-60

NBA Western Conference Finals Game 4- LA Lakers vs Denver

Tonight is game 4 of the Western Conference between the LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets. The series sits at 2-1 after the Nuggets dominating win in game 3 that left the Lakers banging their head and in LeBron's case literally. The Lakers will look to recover after being dominated by Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. This is a turning point in the series because I'm sure if the Nuggets lose the NBA world will have their eyes glued to the Lakers especially if they lose Game 5 and start to stray away from their playstyle. LeBron and Davis vs Jokic and Murray have turned into a legit battle and this is the time for Denver to strike. The Lakers are favoured by 6 with the chance to go up 3-1 and I trust the Lakers to win but the Nuggets are going to keep this close. No matter how this game goes it becomes a chaotic game 5. Record Straight: 103-55 Spread: 91-66-1

TNF Week 3- Miami at Jacksonville

Tonight is a battle between two classic Thursday Night Football teams as the Miami Dolphins are visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins are 0-2 after losses to the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills. Two teams that are expected to be in playoff contention. The Jags are 1-1 after a rousing upset of the Indianapolis Colts and a late loss to the Tennessee Titans. The one thing that would make this game watchable was if we had the debut of Tua Tagovailoa against Gardner Minshew. Instead, it's the mustache (Minshew) vs the beard of Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Jags at home are favoured by 2.5 points for this matchup and I think it will be a close game down the stretch depending which version of these QBs we get because it is rarely the same. I'll take the Jags to win but the Dolphins to keep it close and cover the spread. I'm not making any more strong statements after trying to believe in Brees and the Saints on Monday. NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 4- Boston vs Miami

Tonight is Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. The series now sits at 2-1 for Miami after the Celtics rousing 117-106 win in game 3 to regain some control of what seemed dominated by Miami. The Celtics started to attack the zone defence of the Heat and will allow for some readjustment from Erik Spoelstra for Game 4. In this game, the Celtics are favoured by 3.5 and I'm taking the Heat to win and the Celtics to keep it close. This has been a thrilling series full of adjustments and will continue to be. Record Straight: 102-55 Spread: 90-66-1

Stanley Cup Finals Game 3- Tampa Bay vs Dallas

Tonight is game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars. Game 2 was a game dominated by a Tampa Bay 3 goal first period before Dallas answered with two of their own, ultimately coming up short. These teams have split the first two now leading to the best 3 out of 5 to decide a Stanley Cup Champion. The Lightning coming off a win is getting captain Steven Stamkos back for this game. Tampa Bay is a -160 favourite in this game 3 and I like them to win and take control for now. Record: 64-60

NBA Western Conference Finals Game 3- LA Lakers vs Denver

Tonight is Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals between the Denver Nuggets and LA Lakers. The Lakers are coming off a thrilling game 2 victory capped off by an Anthony Davis buzzer beater. The Nuggets have their backs against the wall which has been the case all playoffs and they’ve always battled back. I’m not counting out the Nuggets but they haven’t faced a beast like these Lakers. LA is favoured by 6.5 in this game 3 and I will stick with the Lakers to win but the Nuggets to cover. MNF Week 2- New Orleans at Las Vegas

Tonight the new Las Vegas Raiders are hosting the New Orleans Saints in the debut game for the new Allegiant Stadium in Vegas. If you have yet to see this stadium it looks like the Death Star straight out of Star Wars. It is a massive facility that will host a likely explosive game based on the offences we saw in week 1. Drew Brees and the Saints dismantled the Tom Brady led Tampa Bay Bucs while Derek Carr and Josh Jacobs held off the Carolina Panthers to start the season. The Saints are favoured by 5.5 in Las Vegas and I trust the Saints wholeheartedly to win and cover the spread. Record Straight: 22-9 Spread: 16-15

Stanley Cup Finals Game 2- Dallas vs Tampa Bay

Tonight is Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning. This is coming off of a 4-1 win in Game 1 from Dallas who has continued their miraculous playoff run and are just 3 wins away from bringing the Cup back to Dallas for the first time since 1999. The Stars offensively had another solid game with balanced scoring and constant attack from all lines. Tampa Bay looked like they were chasing the Stars all night and conforming to their game. The Lightning looks for improved play from the big line of Palat-Point-Kucherov with the possible return of Steven Stamkos looming. Getting Stamkos back would be a huge boost and threat that they haven't had all postseason. In-Game 2 the Lightning are -150 favourites and I'm riding with the Bolts because if they lose I believe Dallas will take full control of this series. Record: 63-60

NBA Western Conference Finals Game 2- Denver vs LA Lakers

Tonight is game 2 of the western conference finals between Denver and the LA Lakers. The Lakers took game 1 in surprising fashion in these playoffs winning 126-114. Stanley Cup Finals Game 1- Dallas vs Tampa Bay

This is the Stanley Cup Final between the Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning. These two teams have battled through the Round Robin and first three rounds to represent their conferences in Edmonton. Dallas went 1-2 during the Round Robin only beating the St.Louis Blues in a shootout. Tampa Bay went 2-1 only losing to the Flyers and earning the second seed. Dallas beat Calgary in the first round after being seemingly outplayed early in the series. Tampa Bay beat Columbus after dominating the 5 game series capping off with an OT winner from Brayden Point. Dallas then beat the Colorado Avalanche in 7 games after almost blowing a 3-1 series lead but won game 7 in OT thanks to Joel Kiviranta who was the first rookie to score a hat-trick in a game 7. Tampa Bay beat Boston in 5 games after taking 3-1 series and winning game 5 in OT thanks to Victor Hedman. Dallas won the west by beating Vegas in 5 games after dominating and winning game 5 in OT with a winner from Denis Gurianov who has ...

NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 3- Boston vs Miami

Tonight game 3 between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. Miami has not dominated these first two games but they have a 2-0 lead and that's all that matters. This Heat team is so well balanced that they do not have to keep relying on Jimmy Butler like his teams before. They have 8-10 players that they can legitimately trust with a few minutes a game. The Celtics team was apparently having yelling matches and some players had to be separated after some disagreements about the game and series so far. Miami has rattled this team that had veteran poise against Toronto. The Celtics are favoured by 3 to win this game 3 and it's do or die for Boston. I like the Heat to win and cover as they've taken control and look like they're ready for the title run. Record Straight: 101-53 Spread: 88-65-1

NBA Western Conference Finals Game 1- Denver vs LA Lakers

Tonight is game 1 between Denver and the LA Lakers as they battle in the Western Conference finals. The Lakers are 7 point favourites for game 1. The Lakers have had a fairly smooth road to get to this spot besides the brief pause in prostest of the season continuing. After losing both game 1s against the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets they rallied off four wins in a row and have dominated these playoffs behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The Nuggets path has been quite the opposite through the first two rounds. In the first round they fell behind 3-1 to the Utah Jazz before rallying behind Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray to win the series in 7. Then taking the exact same path in round 2 rallying from a 3-1 deficit against the LA Clippers and eliminating Kawhi Leonard and Playoff P. Both of these teams are going to rely heavily on their top two stars while hoping for some production in secondary pieces. This heavily favourites the Lakers which is exactly where both teams ...

TNF Week 2- Cincinnati at Cleveland

Tonight is the second week of NFL season kicking off with a Thursday Night Football classic. Two division teams in which we wish we were watching the other two teams in said division play. Joe Burrow is leading his Cincinnati Bengals into the Dawg Pound to face Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns. This is week 2 and already a trendsetter for what could come in this division. If one of these teams start 0-2 in this division is basically a death wish for their season. If either of these teams wants to compete with Pittsburgh or Baltimore they have to win this one. Cleveland is coming off an absolute thumping from the aforementioned Ravens 38-6 and placed their only player with a touchdown David Njoku on the IR this week. The Bengals are coming off a devastating 16-13 loss to the Chargers where Burrow led the Bengals to a prime position than an AJ Green pass interference and a Randy Bullock pulled calf muscle determined the Bengals fate. The Browns are 5.5 point favourites at home and...

NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 2- Miami vs Boston

Tonight is game 2 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. The Heat is coming off a riveting and tight game 1 victory in overtime where they looked great down the stretch. Before that Boston looked like they were in control with great play from Jayson Tatum (30pts, 14 rebs, 5 ast, 3 steals and 2 blocks) and good efforts from Marcus Smart (26 pts), Kemba Walker (19pts), and Jaylen Brown (17). On the Heat side, it was a balanced effort like it has been since the return of play. Goran Dragic led the way with 29 points but had key contributions from Jae Crowder (22), Jimmy Butler (20), Tyler Herro (12 and 11 rebounds), and Bam Adebayo who had 18 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, and two crucial blocks including the game clincher on Tatum. Heading into this game 2 the Celtics are favoured by 2.5 points and I like the Celtics for the win but I like the Heat to keep it within one possession once again. This is a thrilling series that is only going to get better. Record Straight: 101-51 Spread:...

NHL Eastern Conference Finals Game 6- Tampa Bay Lightning vs New York Islanders

The Tampa Bay Lightning are on the verge of giving up a Game 7 after holding a 3-1 lead. The Islanders won game 5 thanks to a double-overtime winner from Jordan Eberle. The real advantage for Tampa Bay is the possible returns of Steven Stamkos and Brayden Point. Even without those two, the Lightning did push game 5 to a 2nd overtime despite dominating the first. The Islanders are holding on for dear life and it looks like it is the best possible situation for them to be in surprisingly. This team has never had high expectations outside of their locker room and they've been proving doubters like me wrong for these entire playoffs. Tampa is a -170 favourite as the availability of Point and Stamkos are unknown. I'm still going with the Lightning they dominated the first overtime and should've won then but I think they close it out tonight. Record: 62-59

NBA Western Conference Semi-Finals Game 7- Denver vs LA Clippers

The best two words in sports, Game 7. The Denver Nuggets have forced a Game 7 against the LA Clippers after being down 3-1 in the series and winning game 5 111-105 and game 6 111-98. The Clippers have blown multiple double-digit leads over these playoffs including a couple to these Nuggets who have fought tooth and nail to even get in this position. Clearly, Nikola Jokic has become the 2nd best player in this series behind Kawhi and the Clippers don't have an answer for him on the offensive end. A Game 7 is always weird and to me, it will come down to the performances of those behind those top 2 guys especially Jamal Murray and Paul George. The Nuggets in the Murray-Jokic era have played in 4 series and all 4 have gone to a Game 7. The Clippers are a 7 point favourite in this game 7 and I trust the Clips to win but I like the Nuggets to keep it close and cover. NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 1- Miami vs Boston

In what feels like an eternity since an Eastern Conference NBA game was played we get to game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. Miami is coming off of a sweep of the Indiana Pacers in the first round and a 5 game series win against the number 1 seed Milwaukee Bucks sans Giannis for the majority of game 4 and all of game 5. This Heat team has been the most impressive, professional, deep team in these playoffs that isn't a surprise but it definitely wasn't expected. This team is deep beyond their starters Goran Dragic who has had a great playoff, Jimmy Butler who is the alpha dog on this team and possibly in this series, Duncan Robinson a great creator and shooter, Jae Crowder a good defender that makes his open shots, and a rim protector and defensive anchor in Bam Adebayo. This team's bench also has quality pieces that play major minutes like Tyler Herro, Andre Igoudala, Kendrick Nunn, and Kelly Olynyk. The Celtics are coming off ...

NHL Eastern Conference Finals Game 5- New York Islanders vs Tampa Bay Lightning

Another potential elimination game in the NHL Conference Finals this time in the east. Tampa Bay rode a crazy couple minutes of a second period leading to a 4-1 game 4 win. The Lightning now leads this series 3-1 and have the chance to book their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final. This Lightning team is -175 favourites as they look to close out the series and I definitely have my doubts about counting out this Islanders team. If the Isles don't play into the Bolts hands they can come back in this series. I think similar to the Dallas-Vegas series the Lightning have forced the Islanders to play a more uptempo uncomfortable and this continues into this game. I'm taking the Lightning I trust them to win this crucial game and possibly having Steven Stamkos back at some point is a scary sight for the incumbent Dallas Stars. Record: 62-59

MNF Week 1- Tennessee at Denver

The second game of Monday Night features the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. The Titans are coming off of an AFC Championship game lost when they to the Chiefs. They brought back Ryan Tannehill on a long term contract and signed Derrick Henry to the franchise tag. Mike Vrabel has been a great coach so far and he will look to continue that success with this team. The Broncos are coming back without Von Miller but a potentially potent offence with Drew Lock, Phillipp Lindsey, Melvin Gordon, Cortland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and Noah Fant as the weapons at the Broncos disposal. The Broncos started as a -2.5 favourite but many people are have bet on the Titans moving the active line towards Tennessee. I like the Broncos to win and cover and set the tone with one of the rare home-field advantages this season. The worry is no Von Miller and the possibility of no Cortland Sutton for this game is definitely a concern but I trust Drew Lock to put the Tita...

NHL Western Conference Finals Game 5- Dallas vs Vegas

Tonight is game 5 between Dallas and Vegas and the Golden Knights are fighting for their lives as Dallas is up 3-1 like they were the last series against Colorado. The Stars seem to have the playoff magic this year that seems to counteract the numbers that support Vegas being the best team in these playoffs. Vegas is a -175 favourite and I am picking them just as I have all playoffs. I like a team in a close series that has their backs against the wall. Record: 62-58

MNF Week 1- Pittsburgh at NY Giants

The first Monday Night Football is between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Football Giants. This is the return of Big Ben as he faces off against Eli Manning look-alike, Daniel Jones. The Steelers are slight favourites at 3.5 points on the road in Metlife Stadium. The Steelers are bringing back a team that went 8-8 without Big Ben for the entire year and had Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges as the tandem throughout the year. This Giants team is looking to build off a solid start from Daniel Jones and develop him into the starter they think he can become. This is also the coaching debut for former Patriots special teams coach Joe Judge who will look to improve on the last two coaches that guided the Giants to shaky seasons and top draft picks. I think it has been proven early in the season that good teams are winning whether at home or on the road. So I like the Steelers to win and cover but I expect the Giants to keep it closer then people expect.

NHL Eastern Conference Finals Game 4- New York Islanders vs Tampa Bay Lightning

Today is game 4 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Islanders. The Isles responded after loses in the first two games of the series with a resounding 5-3 win in game 3. The Lightning are -145 favourites and I’m going with them to take back control of the series. They’re getting Brayden Point back who missed game 3 and he’ll be the straw the stirs the drink for Tampa.   Record: 61-58

NHL Western Conference Finals Game 4- Vegas vs Dallas

Tonight is game 4 between Vegas and Dallas as the Stars hold a 2-1 series lead after a thrilling overtime victory in game 3. Vegas will be looking to bounce back to game 2 form where they won 3-0 recording the 4th shutout for Robin Lehner in these playoffs who also looks like has a new contract extension coming in the offseason. For Dallas, the key is to maintain their play and keep forcing Vegas to conform to their style of play instead of run and gun which is where the Stars cost themselves a game. Vegas is a -160 favourite to win and I like them to do that. This series is so back and forth that a game 7 already seems fairly likely with how evenly matched these teams are.  Record: 61-57

NHL Eastern Conference Finals Game 3- Tampa Bay Lightning vs New York Islanders

Tonight Tampa Bay looks to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over the New York Islanders. The Lightning won game 1 buy a large 8-2 margin and pulled out a win in the final moments in game 2 off a goal from Nikita Kucherov winning 2-1. The Islanders are now in uncharted territory where they have fallen behind the series and look to be chasing their opponents. The only issue at the moment for Tampa is the availability of Brayden Point who did not finish game 2 for an undisclosed reason. The Lightning are -150 favourites and I actually like the Islanders to put everything they have into this game and steal the win. If it's not tonight then that really is the season for New York. Barry Trotz is going to have his lineup ready to go to keep their season alive. Record: 60-57

TNF Week 1- Houston at Kansas City

The NFL is back tonight to rival the NBA, NHL, MLB, WNBA, and MLS for the first time in history. The matchup the NFL wanted first is the defending champion Chiefs facing off against the Houston Texans. This is a rematch of the divisional round last year in which the Texans led 24-0 before giving up 28 points in the 2nd quarter and ultimately lost by 20 (51-31). These teams facing off looking slightly different and both Quarterbacks getting paid (Mahomes 10 year 450 million and Watson 4 year 175 million). The Chiefs are favoured by 10.5 with limited home-field advantage and I like the Texans to keep this game close. I believe in Deshaun Watson's ability to elevate his teammates around him and keep the game close however he can. I also think the Chiefs defense is not their strong suit and we could be looking at a shootout. Ultimately, I trust Mahomes and the Chiefs to pull out the victory and start their repeat campaign strong.

NHL Western Conference Finals Game 3- Vegas vs Dallas

Tonight is Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals between Vegas and Dallas. These teams have split the two games and both dominated in their wins. Vegas went back to Robin Lehner after losing game 1 with Marc-Andre Fleury. Lehner and the Knights responded with a resounding 3-0 win and a 24 save shutout for Lehner's 4th of the playoffs. Vegas is a -165 favourite and I'm sticking with the Knights to maintain their success over the Stars.  Record: 60-56

NHL Eastern Conference Finals Game 2- New York Islanders vs Tampa Bay Lightning

Tonight is Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Islanders. Tampa dominated game 1 and I expect them to take game 2 and they are -165 favourites.

NHL Western Conference Finals Game 2- Dallas vs Vegas

Tonight is game 2 of the Western Conference Finals and it was a boring game in terms of scoring between Dallas and Vegas but these teams are so perfectly matched that the only goal was a perfectly placed shot on a bad bounce for Vegas. Robin Lehner is expected to start tonight after he was the hot hand against Vancouver. This Vegas team is favoured to win -160 as they are the team with their backs against the wall. I'm picking Vegas to win and take some control back in this series. I'm trusting the Vegas depth and veteran presence and not sticking with this Anton Khudobin incredible run to continue. I won't doubt I could be wrong but I think these teams are even that they deserve to split the first two. Record: 58-56

NHL Eastern Conference Finals Game 1- New York Islanders vs Tampa Bay Lightning

Tonight is game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the New York Islanders and the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Islanders are the 6 seed and have had a pretty interesting journey to get to this point. They played in the qualifying round and beat the Florida Panthers in 4 games but dominated the whole series. They then faced the 3 seed Washington Capitals who allegedly treated the Toronto Bubble like a vacation and didn't worry as much about the hockey. This showed as the Islanders dominated with their defensive prowess upsetting the Caps in 5 games which feels generous. The second round had the Islanders matched up with the top-seeded Philadelphia Flyers who were coming off a 6 game series with the Montreal Canadiens. This showed as the Islanders dominated early and took a 3-1 lead as they looked in complete control. The Flyers then came back and won back-to-back overtime games to force a game 7 where the Islanders absolutely dominated. The Lightning got to play in the round-ro...

NHL Western Conference Finals Game 1- Dallas vs Vegas

Tonight Dallas is facing Vegas in Edmonton to kick off the conference finals. Vegas is coming off of a round-robin where they went undefeated including a 5-3 victory over these same Dallas Stars. After the round-robin, they handily beat the Chicago Blackhawks who were coming off a thrilling victory over the Edmonton Oilers and had already succeeded their expectations for the season. Then came a thrilling 7 game series with the upstart Vancouver Canucks in which the Golden Knights went up 3-1 only to be pushed to a 7th game by Canucks' backup Thatcher Demko who had replaced they already stellar Jacob Markstrom. The Knights' depth so far has proven to be the difference-maker of not having to rely only on the top line of Max Pacioretty-William Karlsson-Mark Stone. Shea Theodore has also proven his worth as an elite defenseman after being let go by the Anaheim Ducks in 2017 as result of the expansion draft. The only real question for Vegas has seemed to be answered with Robin Lehne...
